Being a dog parent is expensive. It can also be confusing.

We won't even compare it to being a parent to a human, because as pet parents, we are 100% biased and could count receipts - but that's not the point we're trying to make. While there are countless blogs, info sites, articles, social media accounts, you name it - dedicated to parenting humans, the resources for parenting a puppy pale in comparison.

If you're thinking to yourself,

"Well, of course that's how it is. Parenting a child is tougher and more expensive than a dog."

Then in the words of the iconic 1990 film Pretty Woman,

"You're obviously in the wrong place. Please leave."

In all seriousness, we welcome everyone with our tails wagging! If you've ever been reading an article about potty training your puppy and wondered if the author has ever seen a puppy in real life, then we know your pain. We also know that pheromone spray for pee pads is meaningless when your puppy only wants to eat the toilet you so generously laid out for them. Decades of being dog parents, dog siblings, dog aunts and uncles, and yes dog grandparents, has taught us that there's always another buried bone in the yard. In other words, there's more to learn and more to find. We'll help you decipher the trail of toys, treats, supplements, accessories, and anything else pet related along the way. If there's a way to save some money we'll share that with you too!

Orson, Miniature Schnauzer Extraordinaire

We started K9 Curator to share those extra bits of info and first-hand experience that are few and far between. As proud parents of a uniquely spirited 3-year-old Miniature Schnauzer (Orson), we are still learning aspects of pet parenting that were never an issue with doggos past. We love Orson just as much as our pack of tailwaggers in the sky, but there were days we thought he came from a little further south. Now that he's grown into a perfect gentleman, we can channel our anxious and neurotic energy into helping others just like us!
